New steel valley pans and new plumbing boots.

    New IKO Cambridge Asphalt Shingles in Dual Black with new vapour barrier. The older whirley birds were replaced with new Maximum 301 roof vents. These advanced vents feature a unique storm-proof deflector system that eliminates infiltrations and efficiently captures wind flow from any direction. Unlike traditional vents, they do not require rotation.

Our client, a skilled carpenter, successfully undertook the removal of the old roof and chimney, as well as the installation of the new plywood sheeting and vapor barrier. Our team then expertly installed the new metal panels, incorporating a custom-fabricated large transition flashing to effectively safeguard against water ingress in a hotspot area.

To improve rain and snow drainage and prevent water ingress, we replaced the shingle valleys with durable steel valley pans. Additionally, custom steel roof-to-wall flashings were installed under the overhang for added protection. The old whirley bird vent was replaced with a high-quality Duraflo 50 roof vent.

    This new construction roof has a 1:12 slope that required a 24-gauge, mechanically locked metal panel. The client opted for Forma Steel’s Regent Grey color, and we installed clear glue-on snow clips to effectively manage snow and prevent snow avalanches.
